The Grand Palace
The Grand Palace was begun by King Rama I in 1782. On the left is Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.

The Reclining Buddha at Wat Po
This 46-meter long and 15-meter high image is entirely
covered with gold leaf. The soles of the feet, 5.5 meters high,
are inlaid with mother-of-pearl designs depicting 108 laksanas or
auspicious signs by which a Buddha may be recognized.
